Gemma Corrales

has been a permanent member of the Hagen Philharmonic Orchestra since 2022 and teaches the Alexander Technique in Cologne.
As a guest musician, she performs with orchestras including the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne, the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn, the WDR Radio Orchestra, and the Essen Philharmonic. In the field of contemporary music, she plays in various ensembles, including Musikfabrik, with whom she has participated in numerous productions and festivals (including the Ruhrtriennale and Acht Brücken Festival) as well as concerts in Europe and Canada.
She expresses her great passion for chamber music in the Musor Flute Quartet, which she co-founded in 2006.
Gemma is also a prizewinner of several national and international competitions, including Jeunesses Musicales Spain, the International Chamber Music Competition in Castilla León, and the Friedrich Kuhlau Competition with the Musor Flute Quartet. She was an academy member of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and held temporary contracts with the Duisburg Philharmonic, the Neue Philharmonie Westfalen, and the Dortmund Philharmonic.
After studying in her hometown of Alicante, she continued her studies at the Cologne University of Music with Robert Winn and Thaddeus Watson, as well as at the NRW Orchestra Center (Dortmund and Detmold) with János Bálint. During her studies in Germany, she was also a scholarship recipient of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and the Generalitat Valenciana.
